Event Review : Nairobi Elegance Fair
Last weekend i attended the Nairobi Elegance Fair organized by the Bow Tie Events at the Nairobi Railways Museum. The event was in support of Cherehani Africa which is a social enterprise that provides sewing machines to the less fortunate women in rural areas of Africa.
The designers who graced the event were all new upcoming
designers who included Lucky Fatma, Edna Ipalei, Margaret John, James Muthui, Cindy Wanjiku, Winfred Waceke, Beyanne Chanel, Valentine/Elise Vogel and the incredible Mohammed Bana of Bana the brand who closed the show with his amazing chic designs.
This shows how African Fashion has been embraced, supported and received in a positive manner with shows like this one.I totally loved the setup of the runway fair on a railway track. In addition the whole atmosphere brought a vintage, creative and unique stand.
