To My Tribe

There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.
– George Matthew Adams

Dear Tribe,

We only live once. Now that we have that chance, we should do it 120% or over the top effective. Our once is just once and once is enough. This post is dear to me because all i will say and always have comes from within. Somewhere delicate. A place where words buzz and gyrate. A place of self. A place of inspiration. A place i forever want to drown and when i do, don't SMS (save my soul) . Let a girl live her metaphysical  dream - in her words.

On a random confab, they asked why i write and who i wrote it to. The more i thought  about it after the meeting, the more i found my truth - my tribe. The truth is always fretting when you have to put yourself in the open and you don't know the response that will come your way. We are all prone to frustrations but the thick skin that comes after the learning experiences pushes us to go the extra mile. Many a times, you judge yourself harshly and procrastinate before making the bold move.

Hitting the tip is perfection and the most scary bit. I am not one who dwells in negativity. I dwell in art and passion. To camouflage fear and the nay sayers. To make my eagle fly above the ground, as high as the clouds. To get sauced in word and verbal diarrhea positivity. I am far from perfect. Actually, i wish i knew as much as i do now when i started.

On my first. I was writing to leave a mark. An unforgettable trace. I wrote then; and i do now because words give me insomnia. Words haunt me to my sleep. I write because it is so hard to hold it in. I write because this is  how i see things. I write because they have already changed my name to 'the way i see it ' or to those who like short form dialect, they call me 'TWISI'. I am no longer my name, so i  write because the change of name has to be documented.

I write because you, my tribe, inspire me. I write for you and only you. I write because you nudge me even in my silence. I write because i cannot run away from my words. I  write because i read and when i read i write.

My worry is the Kalahari - when i will be worn out and i cannot express my words. When all i can do is stare like an owl. When dust will settle on all the oozing words and the clog will be titanic then the flow will stop. That will be the most dreaded day of my life well after that will be the day Red Velvet cake will be extinct.

To all those who take a minute to leave a comment, share, email or like the posts, a big hug and thank you goes to you - the real MVPs. My tribe. A one - man show never goes far, words cannot express the much i appreciate the kind words and gestures. With love and more love. To many more ahead, cheers!!
